Who and what these terms cover
These terms describe genus Inc. (genusConnect), its public website, and the services identified in the applicable program or agreement.
Accounts, access, and respectful use
Use only information and services you are authorized to access. Keep account credentials private.
- Provide accurate information, keep account details current, and promptly report suspected misuse of your account.
- Invite or share with others only when you have authority to do so. An invitation does not override a person’s privacy rights or a program’s access rules.
- Do not harass or threaten people, post unlawful content, infringe intellectual property, bypass access controls, scrape restricted information, or interfere with service security or availability.
- Access may be restricted or suspended for misuse, security risks, legal requirements, or breach of an applicable agreement. Contact support if you believe access was restricted in error.
SMS and Care Codes, including 211-411
Care Codes connect you with a particular program. Review its enrollment message and terms before opting in.
- A program may send links, reminders, educational resources, or onboarding messages. We require each program’s enrollment to identify the program and the messages you are choosing to receive. A request for one program is not blanket consent to unrelated marketing.
- Message frequency varies by program and interaction. Message and data rates may apply. Carrier availability and delivery can vary; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Text STOP to the number that sent the messages to opt out, or use another reasonable method communicated by the program. You may receive a confirmation. Text HELP or contact support for assistance; withdrawal requests are handled under the applicable rules.
- Use a number you control or are authorized to use, and tell the program if it changes. Participating U.S. carriers support the 211-411 short-code programs.
- SMS is not a fully secure channel. Avoid sending sensitive details; use a designated secure service for care information. SMS is not an emergency-response service.
AI, healthcare, and emergencies
AI can assist with information and drafting, but people remain responsible for care decisions.
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or biased. Review it before using or sharing it, and consult a qualified professional for medical, legal, financial, or other critical decisions.
The services support communication and care coordination. They do not replace a clinician, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency response. If someone is in immediate danger or has a medical emergency, call 911 or the local emergency number.
HIPAA-regulated partner services are subject to the applicable Business Associate Agreement and program responsibilities. A public website visit does not itself create a healthcare-provider relationship.
Your content and intellectual property
You retain your rights in the content you provide. Share only material you have authority to use.
genusConnect and its licensors retain their rights in service names, designs, software, and authored content. Use them only as permitted by the service or a separate agreement.
Providing content gives the service the permissions needed to host, process, transmit, and display it for the requested service, subject to privacy obligations and applicable agreements. It does not transfer ownership of your content.
To report a copyright concern, contact support with the work, the location of the material, and your contact details. Do not include sensitive care information in a public complaint.
Fees, availability, and applicable agreements
The agreement for each service sets its charges, renewal, cancellation, support commitments, and program-specific responsibilities.
A website inquiry does not create a paid subscription. We provide applicable fees, renewal terms, refund terms, and cancellation requirements in the order or enrollment agreement before you commit to a paid service.
The website and its information are provided as available. Availability and uninterrupted access are not guaranteed. Any service commitments, warranty terms, or liability provisions in a signed agreement apply according to that agreement and applicable law.
These terms use Michigan law to the extent permitted by applicable law; mandatory consumer protections are not displaced. These terms do not require arbitration or waive class-action rights.
Stopping use, account closure, and termination do not automatically erase every record. Retention and privacy requests are addressed in the Privacy Policy and applicable program agreement.
